Former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer is striking
while the iron is hot. He is already in
negotiations to film a movie about his torrid love
affair with a high priced hooker.
"The way I see it, I'm not in office any more so I will have plenty of time for a few side projects," said Spitzer.
Spitzer, said he has been offered more than $10 million for his story and he wants to play himself in the movie.
"Really, I think that is a given," he said. "I mean who can play the hypocrite role better than me?"
Early casting predictions have Jessica Alba playing the part of the high priced hooker. Playing his wife will likely be Bea Arthur.
"I want to show the world how easy it is for a man to stray. I think showing my wife as Bea Arthur and the woman who lured more than $80,000 away from me as the sexy Jessica Alba will make that point clear," said Spitzer. "If you had Bea at home wouldn't you go after Jessica? That's exactly what I had to live through."
His wife, Silda Spitzer, stood by her husband's side during the Bea Arthur explanation, staring down at the floor.
"I mean this is really a love story," he said. "It is the classic tale of a man who goes mad with power, spends thousands of dollars and shames his whole family. When you look at it that way, it seems less like a scandal and more like poetry. The poetry of a man, a wad of cash and a hooker."
The former governor, said he would consider letting Ben Affleck play him in the movie, but quickly added, "I don't know. I am really looking forward to those love scenes with Jessica Alba."
He said he will give graphic details of his encounters with high priced call girls, including how he paid an extra $600 so he didn't have to wear a condom. Spitzer said he wouldn't mind if a Hollywood career spun off from his political misfortunes, but said, "I would rather be in pornos. Those seem to be my specialty."
None of the major movie makers in Los Angeles or New York have confirmed any discussions, but one anonymous producer said, "Spitzer is a sick, sick man."
